Havening

Havening offers a gentle approach to past trauma, experiences and present-day challenges that may be causing unhelpful responses, affecting how you feel in the present, or limiting how you live your life.

Havening uses gentle touch, attention and imagination to facilitate change while promoting greater wellbeing.

One of the distinctive features of Havening is its trauma-informed approach. You do not need to relive or describe the details of a traumatic or stressful experience in order to work with it.

Havening sessions may be helpful for:

  • A specific traumatic event

  • Childhood trauma or experiences in childhood

  • Domestic abuse

  • Sexual and/or emotional abuse

  • Distressing or upsetting memories

  • Accidents or other distressing incidents

  • Experiences of bullying

  • Stress, burnout or feelings of overwhelm

  • Emotional distress

  • Difficult emotions such as anger, shame, grief or sadness

  • Phobias and fears

  • Distress following unexpected or difficult news

  • Stressful situations or workplace stress

  • Self-concept, self-worth and self-esteem

  • Supporting wellbeing and building resilience for future challenges and stressors

Havening sessions

The Havening touch can be applied by me during an in-person session, or you can learn to self-apply it with my guidance. For online sessions, you will self-apply the Havening touch while I guide you through the process.

Sessions are available in person in Bromley, Kent (BR1), or online. An initial session lasts up to 90 minutes, and subsequent sessions are 60 minutes.

If you would like to find out more about Havening or discuss whether a session might be right for you, please get in touch.
