At any age when either a specific event or repeated experiences over a prolonged period of time are perceived as traumatic or stressful they can become permanently encoded in the brain - Knowingly or unknowingly if this happens, not only will it change your perception of the world around you, it will also affect the mind and body, often with life altering consequences.
Havening Techniques® is a psychosensory method, which is designed to change the brain to de-traumatise the memory and remove its negative effects from both the mind and body.
Havening Techniques® along with my own skill set means that if any of the following presenting issues are affecting your life, I would love to work with you:
Post traumatic stress disorder
Early life, pre verbal, developmental trauma
Memories of a traumatic incident
Effects of any abuse, including domestic and emotional
Anxiety. Panic attacks
Emotions either suppressed or overwhelming such as displaced anger, shame, sadness, grief
A feeling, a felt sense
Pain without cause
Confidence, self worth
A little more about Havening sessions with me:
Havening Techniques® have been developed by Dr Ron Ruden.
However a presenting issue shows up for you, I will meet you where you’re at and match your own understanding of your own life. Havening sessions are person centred to an individual
Havening Techniques has different applications, and along with my skill set, understanding of neuroscience, how trauma can become encoded, brief pre history intake it means that if you do know where what you want to work on has come from, that’s great, but equally if you don't know where what you want to work on has come from that's okay too.
As part of the Havening Techniques, the Havening touch uses sensory input which delinks encoded traumas, changes the brains neurochemistry, alters the brains landscape which can change and permanently remove presenting issues
Havening sessions don’t require endless talking and if working on specific memories these can be worked on completely none disclosure therefore not putting you in a place of re traumatisation or dissociation
Havening for some is enough as a stand alone. For others havening works well as a bottom approach and then you may need to use another modality as a top up approach. Usually the top up work is then easier and more effective
Havening creates a safe haven, positive alternatives throughout any session, down regulates the amygdala and builds a more resilient landscape
