Certified Havening Techniques® Training

Havening Techniques® have been developed by Dr. Ron Ruden, MD, in collaboration with his brother, Dr. Steven Ruden. Grounded in the latest neuroscience, Havening is a gentle and highly effective psychosensory approach that uses the sensory input of touch, attention, and imagination to create lasting change.

  • Distressing memories

This training is suitable for a broad range of individuals, including:

  • Therapists, psychologists, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

  • Trauma specialists, mental health practitioners, and support workers

  • Individuals seeking an alternative to traditional approaches

  • Healing-led individuals and those with lived experience

How to become a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner

Stage 1 - Training: 

The first stage to becoming a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner is full attendance of a Certified Havening Techniques® training which includes:

  • Pre learning materials

  • History of Havening

  • Scientific explanations of how Havening Techniques work

  • When and how the different Havening Techniques can be useful

  • Demonstrations of the Havening Techniques

  • Practice of the different Havening Techniques with other participants

  • Discussions and Q & A

Stage 2 - Assessment process:

The second stage to becoming a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner is the assessment process which includes:

  • Successfully complete a science review to test your learning of the science behind Havening Techniques.

  • For those practising in the United States of America, you will need to complete the online Ethics Course ($150). Optional for anyone else.

  • Complete The Code of Ethics Agreement.

  • Submission of 20 case studies where you have used Havening techniques for assessment and feedback.

  • Submission of 3 filmed sessions where you use Havening techniques for assessment and feedback.

You will have up to one year after training to complete the assessment process.

Certification:

Upon successful completion of the assessment process:

  • A certification fee of $99 is payable to Havening HQ to become a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner. Your profile will be listed on www.havening.org

  • $99 becomes an annual renewal fee to remain a Certified Havening Techniques Practitioner
