Certified Havening Techniques® Training, Assessment and Certification

Havening Techniques® have been developed by Dr Ron Ruden, MD in collaboration with his brother, Dr Steven Ruden, and are grounded in the latest neuroscience. Havening uses the sensory input of touch, imagination and attention— to create lasting change.

Who is Havening Training for?

Game changers who’d like to offer an alternative to traditional and conventional approaches. Healing led individuals, individuals with lived experience who’ve experienced Havening and would like to share Havening with others who’ve experienced similar lived experiences. Therapists, doctors, nurses, psychologists. Trauma specialists, mental health practitioners, support workers, complimentary Practitioners. First responders, coaches, individuals involved in humanitarian causes and many more.

What can Havening be used for?

Examples of Therapeutic use include: Trauma, stress, distressing memories, anxiety, depression, other mental health issues, emotional distress, chronic pain, phobias, and many other presenting issues. Sharing as a Self-Havening Technique to promote wellbeing and building in resilience within communities, groups and humanitarian causes (with permission from HQ). Using Havening with family and friends and for your own personal use.

The first stage to becoming a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner is completion of two days of training. 

Stage 1 - Training: 

  • Pre learning materials and any additional materials

  • History of Havening

  • Easier and deeper dives into the Neuroscience of Havening

  • Demonstrations of the Havening Techniques

  • Practice of the Havening Techniques with other participants

  • How and when the different Havening Techniques can be useful

  • Time for discussions and Q & A

The second stage to becoming a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner is the assessment process. 

Stage 2 - Assessment:

  • Complete a multiple - choice science review to test your knowledge.

  • Complete The Code of Ethics Agreement.

  • Submit 30 written case studies for feedback.

  • Submit 2 video case studies for feedback.

  • For those practising in the United States, please note you must also complete the Ethics Course independently administered by Midge Murphy JD ($149)

Once training is completed, you will have up to a year to complete the assessment process.

Certification:

Upon successful completion of assessment, a fee (currently $99) to HQ is payable to be listed on the www.havening.org website as a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner. This fee becomes an annual fee to remain listed.
